Happy almost Spring. New plants this week at Peacock Horticultural Nursery:
- Adiantum hispidulum – Rough Maidenhair Fern
- Alcantarea imperialis (Vriesea imperialis) Very large Bromeliad – up to 5′ after many years.
- Aloe ‘White Fox’ – Small green and white Aloe – 3 – 6″ tall and wide.
- Blechnum brasiliense ‘Volcano’ – Dwarf Brazilian Tree Fern – Good choice for smaller gardens as the trunk only reaches about one foot.
- Cordyline ‘Electric Flash’ – Clump forming Cordyine with chocolate and cream foliage to about 4′.
- Dianella ‘Clarity Blue’ – Flax Lily – Blue foliage to 2 – 3′ tall. Part shade to full sun on the coast. Blue flowers.
- Dianella ensifolia Variegata – Flax Lily -Variegated foliage to 2 – 3′. Part shade to full sun on the coast. Blue flowers and berries.
- Dicksonia Antarctica – Tasmanian Tree Fern to 12 – 16′ tall.
- Echeveria Mahogany Hybrids – Green-bronze foliage with 6″ wide rosettes.
- Leucadendron ‘Little Bit’ – Smaller size Leucadendron to 2 – 3′ with creamy white and orange flower bracts.
- Leucadendron s. ‘Strawberry Blonde’ – New variety for me with Ivory and Pink flowers to 3 – 4′ (?).
- Manfreda u. ‘Chocolate Chips’ – Wavy, thin leaves spotted with chocolate colored spots. To 1′ tall and 2’+ wide.
- Parthenocissus henryana – Deciduous vine to 15’+. Nice Fall color.
- Pelargonium g. ‘Colocho’ – Little scented geranium (rose scented ?) with twisted leaves.
- Protea cynaroides – King Protea tp 3 – 5′ with huge pink flowers.
- Ribes x gordonianum – A hybrid flowering current with red and yellow flowers in early spring. Deciduous shrub to 6′ tall and 8′ wide.
- Woodwardia fimbriate – CA native Giant Tree Fern to 4- 6 tall and wide.
