xMangaves @ Peacock Horticultural Nursery

Mangave ‘Moon Glow’

We are crazy for xMangaves here at Peacock Horticultural Nursery. xMangaves are a cross between an Agave and a Manfreda. xMangaves tend to grow much faster than Agaves, and they are polycarpic, so they will flower and set seeds many times before dying. We have many of the new crosses available here @ Peacock Horticultural Nursery, including xMangave ‘Moonglow’ in the photo. As well as many more, including: xMangave ‘Inkblot, xMangave ‘Jaguar’, xMangave ‘Spotty Dotty’ and xMangave ‘Man of Steel’. And, more new varieties will be available soon. xMangave, like their parents, do not like wet feet in winter, so best planted in a well draining raised bed, or also will do great in pots.

New Mangaves and a new Manfreda are now available @ Peacock Horticultural Nursery.

Finally have some of the many exciting new Mangaves  and a new Manfreda available @ Peacock Horticultural Nursery.

Mangave ‘Moon Glow’
  • Manfreda undulate ‘Mint Chocolate Chip’ – Like one of my favorite plants – Manfreda ‘Chocolate Chips’, Mint Chocolate Chip has wider wavy leaves, darker spotting and the leaves are even more silver-blue.
  • Mangave ‘Inkblot’ – Another Agave and  Manfreda cross to 6 – 8″ tall and 18 – 22″ wide, with dark spotting on leaves.
  • Mangave ‘Moon Glow’ – Another cross, this one between Mangave ‘Bloodspot’ and Manfreda ‘Chocolate Chips’, to 6″ tall and 2′ wide, with dark spotting.
