More new plants arriving today at Peacock Horticultural Nursery – Palms, Tree Ferns, more Aloes!, and a few other plants:

  • Aloe ‘Blue Elf’ – Growing to 18″ tall x 2′ wide with gray-blue leaves and orange flowers blooming in winter/spring. Hardy to about 20 F.
  • Aloe ciliaris ‘Firewall’ – Groundcover Aloe – Growing to 2′ tall by 10′ wide or more over time with scarlet-red flowers blooming year-round. Hardy to about 20 – 25 F.
  • Aloe arborescens x ferox ‘Tangerine’ – A large Aloe to 6 – 8′ with orange flowers in winter.  Hardy to about 20 – 25 F.
  • Aloe maculate hybrid
  • Beccariophoenix alfredii – High Plateau Coconut Palm – This palm originating from Madagascar looks like a coconut palm but produces no coconuts and is hardy to mid 20’s F.
  • Cordyline ‘Design-a-Line Burgundy’ – A clump forming Cordyline to about 3′ tall and wide with weeping burgundy leaves.  Hardy to about 20 F.  Grows best here in Sebastopol in part sun with regular watering.
  • Cyathea cooperi – Australian Tree Fern to 15 – 20′ tall.  Hardy to about 20 F.
  • Dicksonia Antarctica – Tasmanian Tree Fern growing slowly to 15′.  Grows slower and shorter than the Australian Tree Fern (Cyathea cooperi).  Hardy to about 20 F.
  • Dypsis baronii hybrid red petiole – A Sugar Cane Palm – A clustering Palm tree originating from Madagascar to 15 – 20′.  Hardy to about 28 F.
  • Leucadendron ‘Safari Goldstrike’ – Yellow Conebush – Like a  yellow flowering version of L. ‘Safari Sunset’ to 6′.  Hardy to around 20 – 25 F.
  • Phoenix roebelenii – Pygmy Date Palm – A slow growing Palm to 10′.  Hardy to 20 – 25 F.
  • Trachycarpus takii  – Kumaon Palm – Very hardy slow growing Palm to 20′ originating from India.  Hardy to about 20 F.
